I am the Lorax.

'The Lorax' is a cross between: Wilford Brimley, 'Cap'n Crunch', and 'Yosemite Sam'. Renaissance man, Danny DeVito —brings some of that 'Louie De Palma' (Taxi) pizazz to this character. Lorax speaks for the trees.

Oh, the places you will go!

Mr. O'Hare (Riggle), but be sure to call him sir, or 'your highness'. He is the evil corporate overlord of O'Hare Air. O'Hare is in the business of selling 'fresh air', which shouldn't be difficult for a man who is full of hot air.

Make like a tree and leave.

Ted (Efron) is a Johnny Appleseed for the 21st century. An entire society is trapped in a Truman Showian universe (without the cameras...well you know what I mean). There aren't any real trees left, and Ted wants to plant one to impress some girl he’s after.

An inconvenient truth.

I love Dr. Seuss, in fifth grade, I would read all his prose during SSR, even after many verbal warnings by my teacher. My fellow students gave me a hard time as well.

You get nostalgic for the 60s ‘Grinch' movie, and it was good, but it was nowhere near as good as Horton Hears a Who (2008). Dr. Seuss wrote magnificent children’s books, but this is not one of them. I know two things about this man: he is not a filmmaker, and he is not a medical doctor. As for ‘how he got the ‘Dr. Seuss’ name is interesting story, but I will save it for another time.

We're seeing way too much Betty White these days. As a kid, I watched her on The Golden Girls. None of her jokes were very funny. I'm really glad I didn't understand any of the other jokes on that show. This season, she was the oldest person to guest-host Saturday Night Live (youngest being Macaulay Culkin). Please, just exit the stage of stage of life (and Hollywood), gracefully. Some of us don't like to be constantly reminded of our own mortality.

No exageration, this is the best movie Zac Efron has ever made...thus far. Twenty years from now, he'll be in a remake of 17 again; he can play Matthew Perry's part.

They are running out Dr. Seuss books to turn into movies. One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish is the only one left; just make sure Mike Myers doesn't get his grubby fins all over that one.
