I finished watching this movie about a month ago. I took about a couple weeks to watch. Everything in this film so melancholy, it's tough watching a movie with no happy moments.

Considering the somber nature of this film , how can I write an entertaining review? A challenging question, one that plagued me for weeks, but I am satisfied with the end result.

Kevin (Miller), 15 years old, is some sort of 'emo drama-queen', who can't get over himself. His parents, Eva (Swinton) and Franklyn Khatchadourian (Reilly).

Tilda Swinton is a fine actor, but she always plays people who are no fun to be around; like Jodie Foster, but to an extreme.

Forget about nature vs nurture: if your kid is born a sociopath, what can you really do? There is no keeping this kid on the straight and arrow narrow. Perhaps encourage him to do drugs, no uppers; I'm thinking like heroin or horse tranquilizers. Another option, give him up for adoption on his seventh birthday.

As a child, Kevin had a strange obsession with bow and arrows. His father only served to encourage this sort of behavior, practising everyday with him for 10 years. After all, what's the worst that could happen? He'd become a member of the Y.M.C.A., a Village People cover band...not likely.

So we arrive at the conclusion of my review. I know you're expecting a clever pun, involving the terms 'bullseye', or right on target. But that be crass and inappropriate. Like I always say, I may be going to hell, but I'm not trying to earn extra credit. There is one thing that need mentioning: by far, this is the best archery movie since ROBIN HOOD: MEN IN TIGHTS (1991).

Final Verdict: 80 out of 100
